About this livery

[ NEED HEXCODE: Base AE86 with All R32 Front ]

The Audi Sport Quattro S1 is one of the most iconic rally cars ever built and a symbol of the legendary Group B era (1982–1986). It was developed from the success of the original Audi Quattro, which revolutionized rally racing by introducing all-wheel drive (AWD), giving drivers much better traction on gravel, snow, and mud.

In 1984, Audi introduced the Sport Quattro, a shorter, lighter, and more powerful version of the original Quattro. Soon after, the Sport Quattro S1 was created specifically to compete in Group B. Powered by a turbocharged 2.1-liter inline-five engine, it produced over 450 horsepower, with later versions exceeding 500 horsepower.

The most famous version was the S1 E2, launched in 1985. It featured massive wings, spoilers, and air intakes designed to improve aerodynamics and cooling. Its aggressive and futuristic appearance made it one of the most recognizable rally cars in history. Despite its incredible speed, the S1 was known for being difficult to control due to its extreme power and demanding handling characteristics.

The car achieved several important victories in the World Rally Championship, including the 1985 San Remo Rally, driven by rally legend Walter Röhrl. However, it faced strong competition from lighter and more agile rivals such as the Peugeot 205 T16.

After Group B was discontinued in 1986 because of serious safety concerns and fatal accidents, the Audi Quattro S1 continued its career in hill-climb events. Its greatest success came at the famous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the United States, where Röhrl set a new record in 1987.
