Watch some irl drift videos
I usually watch some IRL drift videos before drifting in-game to get a better idea of what a realistic angle looks like, so I don't end up using full lock all the time and making the game look too arcade-like.
Especially at Meihan, watching Team BURST videos makes it much easier to understand the track and see how people actually drive it. You can see where they apply throttle, where they brake, and how they transition between corners.
Also, because of that, I literally can't start a drift with a tiny feint flick anymore. I wish cars felt a bit heavier in the game, because drifting feels too slidey sometimes. Once the car starts drifting, it's hard to straighten it out again, and I usually need the handbrake to bring the car back in line.
