making a modding tutorial in a comment is pretty difficult so i wont get into explaining it here
but i made a youtube tutorial a while ago (channel adam_frl)
it was for version 3.6 but i doubt the process changed much

download APK editor studio and a clean fr legends apk. put the frl apk into apk editor studio, then on the bottom left there should be a bunch of folders. press on assets, then bin, then on the three dots and now you should see all the frl files. right click any one of them and press "replace ressource". it should open a new window with all the files. now deselect the file that was selected, copy the file you made and want to import and paste it into the new window. it should ask you if you want to replace a file with the same name, press yes. then press open and sign the apk. hope it made sense

Hey I’m getting back into it, I’ve fiddled around with replacing files and that, how do I know what each file is? I’m trying to replace the huge zigzag exhaust

the exhaust youre talking about is the s13 bosozoku exhaust. it is located on the same file as all other s13 meshes. put frls assets into asset studio, search for s13, press on a mesh, right click, show original file. then double check by dragging the single file into asset studio again and check if the bosozoku exhaust is there too together with the other s13 meshes
