Ford brought an evolution to global GT3 racing in 2026 with the Mustang GT3 Evo—built by Multimatic Motorsports on the Dark Horse platform and powered by a naturally aspirated 5.4L Coyote V8 engine. 

The American team Gradient Racing competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the highly competitive GTD (GT Daytona) class, campaigning the Ford Mustang GT3 Evo bearing the iconic number 66. After six years of racing with Acura machinery, the Austin, Texas-based team made a strategic shift by formally joining the Ford Performance family.
