E30 (BMW E30 3-Series)

The E30 is the fourth car in the game, based on the BMW E30 3-Series sold from 1982 to 1994. In the real world the M3 was the hardcore, motorsport-developed version of this generation — a more powerful engine, wider wheels, an aero body kit, sharper suspension, bigger brakes and plenty of weight-saving. The in-game car leans on that heritage even though its base looks closer to a 316i. Stock it runs the SA14 straight-four at 197 hp, and it hits 717 hp with a fully-built J swap and turbo.

Body kits

The E30 has 3 body kits. To get the proper M3 look, fit the TYPE-A kit together with a set of rims at ET = 1.

Paint & liveries

The E30 comes with 10 preset liveries, and is one of the cars that ships with a livery already applied after the model revisions. Stock/custom paint and the Livery Creator are available as usual.

Trivia

• The in-game car appears to be the 316i body, yet its engine reads as an S14B23 — the unit found only in the genuine M3.
• The real E30 came in several shapes: 2-door sedan, 2-door convertible and 5-door wagon. Oddly, BMW even built two E30 M3s converted into pickup trucks.
